This is a very new renovation hotel and its location was perfect since it was within the Old Quarter yet quiet enough that no amount of noise from passing cars and motobikes will wake you up no matter what time of the day you sleep. The amenities were very modern and everything is sparkling clean. The rooms were a treat and the fruits they leave for you everyday are delicious. The staff was always ready to help and they always greet you with a smile. They were approachable and all were able to speak English well enough to be understood clearly so communication was never a challenge. They were attentive and the staff to guests ratio was high enough so that you never have to look far for some assistance. The staff is also very knowledgeable of the area so if you need anything in particular, you only need to ask and they would be able to provide it for you. There was free breakfast included in the Vietnamese noodle or more of a western breakfast in nearby saparated restaurant, with omelette and cereals and pancakes, the food was delicious. They will make sure that you're full enough for the activities that you will have for the day.We stayed there for 2nights and enjoyed every last minute we stayed there. Highly recommend

the staff works in night shift could not speak English very well

Koto was the best hotel we have ever stayed at. They made our Halong bay trip 3 days and 2 nights the Dragon Cruise was incredible boat with the deluxe cabin and tourguide took a good care of us. They supprised us by secretly placing the large bouque and a bottle of red wine on my bed room to celebrate my wife's birthday, when we come back from Halong bay they gave us a free room for taking a shower before picking up to train station. Before leaving we promised ourself that not to forget to write a good review for this hotel and highly recommend it to my friends

wonderful stay at this hotel right in the old town, very closed distance from hoan kiem lake and many restaurants and shops . the staff were very friendly and eager to answer any questions and help with tourist suggestions. the room was very clean and not too small size. The breakfast was great which served in Bodega hotel for a few steps (buffet choices with drinks) - most hotels we had stayed at had breakfast and it was just some toast and fruit. We trully believe that this hotel will be highly recommended by its guest

  • Group of friends

we arrived in hotel so early morning, at 6.00AM, staffs helped a lot to solved taxi scam problem and afterward made me a good breakfast at Bodega restaurant before checking me in room the room was so decent size with window and very clean, the hotel stayed in center of Old Quarter, 10 minutes walk to Hon Kiem lake and especilly, easily access the historical vestiges. In general speaking this hotel is deserved to be appreciated

This is second time I ve stayed at the APT hotel andI decided to take a chance to write some words about this hotel. This hotel has changed its management and newly reopened after a couptle of month close for renovation and now its facilities has a lot of changes which is much better than last year I did stay. The rooms are new, clean and safe. Ms. Hien who in the charge of day time in the reception counter is very friendly and helful. Whatever you need can be gotten or done by her colleagues. There is a lovely breakfast each morning in Bodega hotel nearby if you like Western buffet. The hotel is in a perfect location, especially, situated in Night Food Street of Hanoi’s Old Quarter. I walked around at midnight without any hesitation because there were tons of people walking the lake early in the morning. This hotel is perfect and I would stay here again if I return to hanoi. I also booked trips to Halong Bay and transportation via APT hotel. Highly recommend

    a little bit noisy

close to railway station & old center

    1. wierd internet. each second request - rejected. hard to surf. 2. my room was without window - very wet! 3. wierd design of bathroom. shower flood entire bathroom, not 1 corner. 4. breakfast - against the road at friendly hotel "badega" or something like this.

We prefer the staffs to its facilities

  • Older travelers

Every aspect of our stay was met with efficiency, knowledge and friendliness. We have stayed at many hotels around the world and must say that the staff gave more than 100 percnent? The breakfast offered is a full meal and good. We will stay with them again when we return. The location was very central. The room was quiet and had wifi.

The best hotel in Hanoi! Affordable, clean, excellent location, and above all, the greatest service in the world, helpful and always smiling. I highly recommend :)

The staff was very friendly and helpfull. Everyone speak better english than i. It was a great place to stay if you dont want to spend money. Very close to the center we went everyplaces by walk. It was very clean. We truly recomended it.

maybe the breakfast was poor but its an hostel!!

The Room is quite big.. Clean and Nice.

There is only one thing I want to mention that my friends asked hotel to get the train ticket back to China. They told them the second-class ticket was sold out and only first-class ticket left. So they bought first-class ticket. But in the end, when they got on the train , they found they got second-class one.

The most memorable thing to me was not hotel room and that was its services the staff was very friendly and helpful and they helped us to arrange the open bus to Hui city for cheaper price than other passangers on the same bus. However, Halong bay trip was a little bit expensive but it was nice and pls note that in Hanoi you can get what you pay for. Thank you guys and keep it up

Amazingly friendly and helpful staff, great location. Quite a revelation!

I tried to think of something I didn't like, and failed.

  • Couple

It is more a Hotel than a Hostel. The staff is extremely friendly ;-)

The beds are a bit hard, but it's okay!

Staff were exceptionally friendly, warm and helpful. You receive ice cold water every time you arrive and staff are happy to help with local knowledge and advice. Rooms are a good size and comfortable, with a/c and some have balconies. Hotel were happy to look after our bags while we went to a Halong Bay. Location is good for Hanoi, 5 mins walk to the lake and lots of restaurants and shops close by. Free computers for Internet in reception and good wifi. We did the Dragon Cruise Superior Halong Bay tour which was fine, 2 days 1 night, though be warned you realistically get 1 day in Halong Bay because of travelling and over-complicated 'add-ons' on day 2.

Beds are quite soft and you can feel springs, probably need replacing at some point. Would not recommend the bus company that the hotel resell 'Open Bus Tours' via, our first bus was old and noisy and we were made to wait in a chaotic queue whilst all the Vietnamese were ushered into the best seats...aka Westerners sit at the back. No arguing. Our second bus was an hour late because of a supposed 'break down' so a seated bus turned into a sleeper instead, which isn't the end of the world. Our third bus was all good, sleeper, set off on time, Vietnamese first of course, then at 1am we were woken up in a car park to be told we were switching bus, so the last 5 hours were on a seated bus...you can't call this a sleeper bus, it's an overnight bus at best. A nightmare at worst. Avoid. Not really the hotels fault though. Just avoid Hung Thanh travel co.
